Understanding roulette bets

0

One of the main reasons for the popularity of Roulette is the fact that there are so many different betting options. If you fancy a high-risk, high-reward game, you can play Roulette. Likewise, if you prefer to play it safe, you can also play Roulette. There are different betting options for all types of players, and depending on how you like to bet, some may be better than others.

We’ve put together this short explanation of the different types of bets and the payouts of each.

What is inside and outside bets?

Roulette tables have a series of betting options inside and outside the specific numbers on the wheel. When you got to a land-based casino, the Roulette table is next to the wheel, and you can place your chips down on the table for each bet you want to make. With online Roulette, simply select your bet from the provided options and choose your stake.

Inside bets

Inside bets refer to any type of bet relating to the specific numbers or groups of numbers. These are higher risk bets but with higher risk comes bigger payouts. Inside bets include the following:

  • Straight number – This is where you choose a particular number on the wheel. The odds are 35 to 1. So for instance, if you picked the number 10 and bet $10, you’d win $350 if the ball lands on 10. All numbers have equal odds and an equal chance of winning.
  • Split bet – This bet allows you to bet on any two adjacent numbers on the wheel. If either number comes up, you win. For example, you might choose 1|2. The odds for this are 17 to 1. So if you bet $10 on 1|2 and the ball lands on 2, you’ll win $170.
  • Street bet – A street bet covers a row of three numbers. You choose a row of adjacent numbers to bet on, and if the ball lands on any in the row, you’ll win. This bet pays out 11 to 1. So a bet of $10 will make you $110 if you win.
  • Corner bet – A corner bet is a bet that the ball will land on one of four numbers. The numbers need to touch each other in a square on the Roulette table. This bet pays out 8 to 1, betting $10 will give you $80 if the ball lands on any of your numbers.
  • Line bet – Similar to the street bet, only instead of a three-number row, you’re betting on two rows, six numbers in total. They have to be consecutive rows on the Roulette table. Sometimes known as six number bets, these payout 5 to 1.
  • Five-number bet – The five-number bet has the highest house edge of any Roulette bet at 7.9%. It’s a bet on the first five numbers on the Roulette table and pays out 6 to 1. If you bet $10, you’ll win back $60 if any of the numbers land.

Outside bets

Outside bets are located at the outside of the Roulette table. These are typically safer bets and allow you to bet on large numbers of groups. All of these bets lose if the ball lands on 0 or 00. They include the following:

  • Red or Black – This is betting on whether a red or black number will win. If you look at the Roulette wheel, you’ll see that all the numbers have a color of either red, black or green. The 0 and 00 are the only green numbers. All others are either red or black. This bet is an even money bet, giving you your stake 1x if you win. The presence of the 0 and 00 mean it’s not a 50/50 bet though. If you bet $10 on black and the ball lands on black, you’ll win $10.
  • Odds or Evens – Another even money bet, you’ll bet on whether the ball will land on an odd number or an even number. Again, if the ball lands on 0 or 00, you’ll lose, even if you picked evens.
  • High or Low – This is a bet on whether the ball will land on low numbers (1-18) or high numbers (19-36). This is another even money bet. A win from $10 will win you $10.
  • Columns – The Roulette table can be split into three vertical columns. This is a bet that the ball will land on any of the twelve numbers from your chosen column. Each column pays out at odds of 2 to 1, doubling your stake if you land a win.
  • Dozens – This bet also covers twelve numbers, but this time in consecutive order. So you can choose the first twelve with numbers of 1-12, the second twelve from 13-24 or the third from 25-36. Odds are also 2 to 1, giving you $20 if you bet $10 and win.

Other types of bets

Some special types of Roulette, including French Roulette, may feature some other betting types. These can include the following:

  • Voisons du zero – This is French for neighbors of zero. In other words, this bet is for the seventeen numbers that lie on each side of the number zero on the wheel. The bet is split nine ways, with five splits and a double on both a trio and corner bet.
  • Jeu zero – Known as zero games. Similar to voisons du zero, this involves the numbers closest to the number zero but will be placed differently. The bet is split into four parts and placed on three splits and one straight bet.
  • Tiers du cylindre -The third of the wheel. This bet covers twelve numbers across six splits in roughly a third of the Roulette wheel.
  • Orphelins – These are the orphans, the eight numbers which aren’t included in either the tiers or voisons Your bet is split five ways between four splits and one straight bet.
  • Neighbours – Neighbour bets are when you choose a number to place a straight bet and also place bets on the two adjacent numbers on each side.
  • Final bets – A final bet is a bet placed on all numbers with the same final digit. For example, if you place a final bet on zeros, all numbers ending in zero will have a straight bet placed on them. For most numbers, this is four individual bets. For seven and nine, it’s just three.

What is La Partage rule?

La partage is French for the divide and is a rule found in French Roulette. It’s one of the reasons why many online casino players favor French Roulette as it lowers the house edge. This makes the game more player-friendly and a lot more enjoyable.

This rule is only in effect for outside bets, so if you’re placing straight bets or any of the other inside bets, it won’t apply. If you’re playing French Roulette with an outside bet and the ball lands on zero, instead of automatically losing your stake, the dealer will instead divide your stake and return half back to you.

What is the En Prison rule?

The en prison rule is another rule in effect while playing French Roulette. Again, it helps lower the house advantage and also gives players a more interesting way to make outside bets.

As with la partage, en prison comes into effect when you’re placing an outside bet. If the ball lands on zero, you can choose to either get half of your stake back or place your bet in prison. If you choose to keep it in prison, your stake will be active the next spin, and if it wins, you’ll get your whole stake back.

As an example, if you bet $100 on black and the ball lands on zero, you’ll have the choice between prison or split. If you choose split, you’ll receive $50 back while the casino takes the other half. If you choose prison, your $100 bet remains in play for the next spin. If the ball lands on black, you’ll win the whole stake back. If it lands on red or green, you’ll lose.

We love playing casino games, and online Poker is one of our absolute favorites. The excitement that comes from having an excellent hand or convincing your opponents to fold through bluffing is part of why we love it so much. Obviously, winning games is a lot more fun than losing, so learning the skills and strategies of Poker is very useful.

We’ll be giving you advice that has worked for us and sharing some secrets and strategies that other sites charge for. If you want to have the best possible time playing Poker online, you don’t want to miss this.

General Tips

When you first start playing Poker, there are a few different tips that will be applicable to you. Most of these can be found in our previous guides on Poker. If you’ve already gone over those, it’s time for some more advanced tips. Here some advice that we give to players who’re looking to take their Poker game to the next level:

Picking the right site – This one applies to advanced players just as much as new players. Just because you’re comfortable with a site, however, it doesn’t mean that it’s the best option. Before you start playing, take a look at some other online poker sites and casinos and see if any of them are better suited for you. Remember that you can easily claim welcome bonuses just for signing up for a new site. Give a new site a try, and even if you don’t think it’s much of an improvement, you can always come back to your favorite. The best online Poker players regularly change sites, keeping their eyes open for the best sites that provide the best deals, tables, and tournaments.

Upping the stakes – If you’ve been playing Poker for a while, you should already have a decent amount of experience at the game. In our previous guide, we stressed the importance of starting off slow and playing low stakes games. At this point, you might want to consider playing higher stakes tables. A lot of sites will offer different tables with different stake sizes. If you’re starting to get better at the game, this can be a good test for you. The level of player can change depending on which stakes you play, so watch out for an increased level of competition. Provided you stick to your strategy and keep an eye on your bankroll, you shouldn’t have too much trouble progressing into the big leagues. High stakes games and tournaments are where players can really start to make some serious money, and you’ll increase the size of your wins.

Keeping track of your opponents – In Poker, beating your opponents is the most important part of the game. Being able to read your opponent’s actions and guess what hand they have is necessary if you want to consistently win. Pay close attention to the actions of the players at your table, what kind of actions they take after a new card has been dealt with. You can learn a lot from observing your opponents and looking for patterns in how they bet. Keeping track of how much a player has invested in the pot is a great way to spot true behaviors, a player is much less likely to be bluffing when they have a large amount of their money in the pot. At this point, you’re more likely to see their true behavior than any bluffs or deceptions.

Poker: Position Strategy

In Poker, position refers to the order at which the players are seated around the table. When playing online poker, you may not be seated at a table, but you’re still placed at a virtual table along with your opponents. The order at which you’re seated will have an impact on your strategy, and you should pay close attention to it.

Players who have the first action are in what’s known as the early position. The two players to the left of the dealer will be the small blind and the big blind. Then there’s the early position, the player who must make the first action.

Those after the early position are known as the middle positions, and after them is the late position. Generally, being in an earlier position puts you at a disadvantage. You’re forced to make a decision before you have much information to go on about your opponents.

If you’re in late position, you’ve already had the chance to see the actions of the other players and observe how they’re playing. This is important information when deciding on your own action and so it puts you at an advantage.

If you’re in an early position, you should normally only ever play if you have a strong hand. Generally, all but the strongest hands should see you fold in the early position. As you get further into the late position, the range of hands that you can play with success grows. While a weak hand won’t have a good chance of success in the early positions, it has a much better chance in the late positions.

Understanding poker hands or strategy & tips

Poker the aim of the game is to create the best possible five-card hand using your dealt cards and the community cards. You can combine cards in different ways using one or both of the cards in your hand. Most Poker have different rules on the best possible hands, we’ll be covering only some of the main hands seen in Texas Hold ‘Em Poker.

This is a ranking of the best to lowest ranked hands:

  1. Royal Flush – The best and rarest hand in the game. A Royal Flush is a hand containing A, K, Q, J, and 10 all in the same suit. So far example if you have a King of diamonds and a Queen of diamonds and there’s an Ace of diamonds, Jack of Diamonds, and 10 diamonds in the community cards, you can make a Royal flush.
  2. Straight Flush – This is five cards in a sequence, all of the same suits. So for example, if you have four spades and a three of spades, you can make a Straight Flush if there are the two, five, and six spades in the community pile.
  3. Four of a Kind – A Four of a Kind is a hand of four of the same card. For example, four Aces or four Kings.
  4. Full House – A Full House is Three of a Kind with a Pair. So, for example, you could have three sixes and two fours.
  5. Flush – A Flush is any five cards from the same suit but not in order. An example is any five cards from the spade suit. You could have two spades in your hand and another three in the community cards or one in your hand and four in the community cards.
  6. Straight – A Straight is five cards in a row, but not in the same suit. So you could have six, seven, eight nine, and ten but from random suits.
  7. Three of a Kind – Three of a kind is one step down from four of a kind. It’s three cards of the same type. So, for example, three Kings.
  8. Two Pair – A Two Pair is two different pairs. So, for example, two Queens and two fives.
  9. Pair – A Pair is a simple two of the same card. An example is a pair of Aces, two Ace cards.
  10. High Card – High card is when you haven’t made any of the above hands. Your highest value card will then be in play. So if your highest card is a King and your opponent has a high card of an eight, you’ll win.

If both you and an opponent have the same ranked hand, if you both have a pair, then the winner is whoever’s pair is the highest. If you have a pair of tens, you’ll beat an opponent who has a pair of nines.

Make sure you check which poker you’re playing as not all of these hands can be used in every Poker game. Some other games may have other hands, and certain hands might be ranked higher or lower.

Online poker strategy

In Poker it’s not only about purely luck, there’s a lot you can do to turn the odds in your favor. We’ve compiled a list of our favorite tips that can hopefully help you to improve how you play and win the table more often.

  • Start out slow – When you first start playing, you’ll be a complete beginner. That can make you easy pickings for other players if you’re not careful. It’s a good idea to play as much free Poker to practice before you start playing the real thing. You can also start off with low stake games where the maximum amount you can lose will be much lower. Remember not to get carried away with your bets, even if you think you have a great hand. Go slow and steady, and you’ll learn much more. As you start to get better, you can increase your bets and eventually move into bigger stake games and multi-tabling.
  • Understand the game type – Lots of players get carried away when they first start and think that the rules they know apply to all Poker games. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way, and you’re in for a rude awakening if you rush in without reading the rules. Be sure you know which hands are the best before starting any game, remember that most players will be more experienced than you, so you don’t want to give them an even bigger advantage by not knowing the rules!
  • Make the most of the bonuses – All most online casinos and poker sites will offer bonuses to new players. Make the most of these, and they’ll allow you to play plenty of hands with minimal risk. Find all the best online poker bonuses on our online casino bonus page.
  • Create a distraction-free zone – Before you play, it’s important to rid yourself of any distractions. Playing requires a lot of concentration, and you’ll need to be alert to win. The difference between good players and great players is often how seriously they take the game.
  • Manage your bankroll – Your bankroll is how much you have available to bet with. Make sure you set an amount to play with each day and don’t go over it. If your bankroll is getting smaller, play at lower stake games. If your bankroll is getting bigger, you can risk more by playing high-stakes games. Keep an eye on your bankroll and stop playing if you feel you’re spending too much.
  • Limit your losses and wins – Before playing, it’s important to set limits on how much you’re happy to lose. You should also set a maximum amount you can win before you stop playing for the day. It’s always a good idea to set limits when gambling. Especially when losing heavily, there’s a tendency for players to chase losses which usually just leads to more losses. When playing Poker, it’s important to remain calm so you should avoid playing when you’re overconfident from wins or angry from losses.

Online poker tips

Before you start playing poker online, it’s important to make sure you understand the basic gist of the game. The last thing you want is to be playing against players with much more knowledge about the game than you. Players can always be more experienced, but you should never go into a game knowing less than your opponents if you can help it.

We’ll cover some information on which are the best hands and some general tips. You can find more detailed tips on our Poker page.

Most of these tips will be applicable to Texas Hold ‘Em Poker, the most popular game type. If you want to know more about different types of Poker, we show you some of the main types later on in this guide.

What is poker & Why play poker?

0

Poker is any number of different games that are played with playing cards and involve players betting on who has the best hand. The exact rules will depend on which game type you’re playing. Poker typically uses a single standard 52-card deck but the exact number of cards in play, whether cards are dealt face up or face down can all be changed depending on which game you’re playing.

Poker was developed around the 19th century in the US where it soon became a popular pastime. Over the years, the game has grown massively, and now, thanks in part to online Poker, it’s one of the biggest gambling games in the world. Tournaments like the World Series of Poker have been held each year since the 70s. This competition gives players from all over the world the chance to win millions of dollars in prize money.

The most common type of Poker you’ll come across online is Texas Hold ‘Em, so most of what we explain in this guide will be applicable to this game type in particular. In most games, there is forced betting in the form of the big blind and little blind. These bets are made before any cards are dealt, but after being dealt cards, the other players can place bets too.

Players can take various actions throughout the game, including to surrender or “fold” their cards. Folding means you’re out of that hand and won’t be able to continue until being dealt back in. You’ll also be able to “call” or match the current bet. Finally, you’ll be able to raise or increase your bet. Other players at the table must match your bet, raise or fold.

The dealer also adds cards to the community cards, using which the players try to complete the best possible five-card Poker hands. In most games of Poker, there are five community cards, and each player will be using their two dealt cards to make the best possible hand.

Scores of cards and Poker hands will depend on which type of poker you’re playing. But common hands include two of a kind, three of a kind, four of a kind, straights, and flushes. We’ll get into these more later in the guide.

There are usually four rounds of betting to allow players plenty of opportunities to place their bets and try to outwit each other. In Poker, the best hand doesn’t always win, because other players can’t see what cards you have, it’s possible to bluff and make your opponents fold, even if you have a hand that normally wouldn’t beat them.

Why play poker?

It is one of the most popular card games in the world for good reason. It’s a lot of fun to play, and unlike some other casino games, there’s plenty of skill involved as well as luck. Here are some of the reasons why Poker is so popular and why we love it so much:

  • Lots of variation – There are hundreds of different variations of Poker out there. While that may seem initially confusing to a newcomer, it also gives you loads of opportunities to play different games every day. Even playing the same game type, no two games of Poker are ever the same thanks to different players, hands, and rules.
  • Skill-based – Unlike the slots or Roulette table, Poker has a lot of skill involved. Sure, there’s still plenty of luck in who gets the best cards, but the best cards don’t always win. You have to know how to use the cards to your advantage and utilizing psychological tricks like bluffing over other players can help you get ahead.
  • Widely available – Poker is one of the most popular card games, so it’s found at nearly every online casino. There are also hundreds of great Poker sites that are dedicated to providing the best Poker tables to players all over the world.
  • Playing against other players – Instead of playing against a dealer, you’ll be competing against other players. For some, there’s an added thrill that comes from beating all the players at a table. It also allows you to play against lots of different skill levels.
  • Excitement – Poker is one of the most exciting casino games thanks to the four betting rounds where you’ll get to see what your opponents are made of. Poker can go by slowly compared to some other games, but it never stops being thrillingly exciting.
  • Big prizes – Loads of people play Poker, and with such a wide player-base, there’s a lot of money to be made. At regular sites, you can usually find high-stakes games. A lot of sites also offer tournaments that offer massive cash prizes to the winners.

Blackjack terms & actions explained

0

Here are some of the Blackjack terms and actions that might be a little confusing at first but we’ve written a short list of some of the blackjack terms and actions and an explanation of what each term means.

  • Soft hand – A soft hand is any hand that contains an Ace. As Aces can be either a one or eleven, they’re a useful card to have and can give you an advantage. You also need an Ace to make Blackjack, the best hand in the game.
  • Hard hand – A hard hand is a hand without an Ace or a hand that has an Ace with a value of one. For example, if you had a hand value of seventeen and received an Ace. The Ace would have to have a value of one, or your hand value would exceed twenty-one.
  • Bust – Bust is where either the player or the dealer has their hand value go over twenty-one. At this point, the person who bust loses and the other wins. Can also be known as a break.
  • House edge – The house edge is the advantage that the casino has in the game. Casinos are sometimes known as the house. Most Blackjack games have a very low house edge, but some situations, bets, or rule changes will change the house edge slightly. You can look up the house edge of a game before you play to give you an idea of how fair it is.
  • Push – A push bet is the result of a tie, where both the dealer and player reach the same hand value. If you have a push bet, your stake is returned to you in most cases.
  • Even money – Even money describes odds that are 50/50 or 2 to 1. In other words, if you bet a stake of $20, you can win $20, or you can lose $20. Winning at Blackjack will pay out even money, but landing a Blackjack usually pays out at odds of 3 to 2 or 1.5x your stake. This means that from a bet of $20 you can win $30.
  • Shoe – The shoe is the box that holds the cards. In most online games of Blackjack, it’s a virtual shoe. Live games will still use a real shoe as you would see at the land-based casinos.
  • Upcard – The upcard is the face-up card of the dealer. Most Blackjack games will allow you to see the dealer’s first card, giving you an idea of what strategy to follow.

Player actions explained

We’ve covered the actions you can take in Blackjack, but now we’re going to look a bit closer. Here we’ll explain the details of each action and when they can be performed. If you want to play Blackjack, you’ll need to know this information well, especially if you want to win.

Stand – Standing will effectively end your turn and allows the dealer to then make their move. You should stand when you’re happy that your hand is high enough to beat the dealer. Remember that you don’t necessarily need to be close to twenty-one, provided the dealer busts or ends their turn with a lower hand, you’ll win. If you hit a twenty-one in online Blackjack, the game will automatically put you in the stand. At this point, the only way the dealer can beat you is with a Blackjack.

Hit – If you’d like to add more cards to your hand to get a higher value, you’ll need to hit. The dealer will pass you one extra card, and you’ll be able to take another action after that. Whether it’s a good idea to take a hit or not will depend on the hand of you and the dealer. A low value will mean you’ll want to hit but be careful not to hit too much as you can bust if you go over twenty-one.

Double Down – Doubling down is similar to a hit, only instead of receiving an extra card, you’ll also increase your stake. Your stake is doubled, hence the name. Usually, this will also end your turn. Some game types will allow you to make other actions after the double down, however.

Splitting – If your cards are a set of pairs, you’ll be able to split. You’ll receive two more cards, so you have two hands with two cards each. You can only split on your first action of the round. Sometimes, however, you may be able to split twice in a row if you receive another pair. Bear in mind that splitting will give you multiple hands and will also increase your bet. Your stake is increased by the number of hands you have in play. So two hands will be 2x your stake.

Insurance Bet – If the dealer draws an Ace, you can take insurance out against them having a Blackjack. If the dealer lands a Blackjack, you’ll lose even if you have a twenty-one. The insurance bet is half your stake and pays out at odds of 2 to 1. You’ll lose your stake from your original bet, but you’ll at least be able to break even if the dealer has a Blackjack.

Surrender – When you first receive your hand, you’ll be able to surrender as your first action. This will mean you effectively give up for that round and your cards are returned to the dealer. It may seem like a bad idea, but the upside is that you get half of your stake returned to you if you surrender. If you have a particularly bad hand and the dealer has a good upcard, it can be a smart choice to surrender and wait for the next round.

These were some Blackjack terms and actions, hope it was helpful to you.

Happy Winning.

THE BASIC RULES OF CLASSIC BLACKJACK
THE BASIC STRATEGY OF BLACKJACK RULES

Online poker: Live & Mobile.

0

Online poker: Live & Mobile. :- Playing Poker at a land-based casino can be a lot of fun. It’s hard to beat the social aspect of the casino, especially if you enjoy going with all your friends. Online casinos do have a lot of benefits over land-based casinos, however, and many players are starting to enjoy online sites a lot more.

Here are some of the main advantages and disadvantages of playing Online Poker over land-based Poker:

Advantages of online poker: Live & Mobile.

Convenience – Switching your computer on and loading up your favorite casino or Poker site is a lot easier than taking a trip to your nearest casino. Unless you live in a big city, the chances are you’re far from any major casino that will offer Poker. With online play, you can instantly load up a site and join a table. In most cases, you won’t even have to wait.

More variety – Online casinos and Poker sites have a massive variety of different Poker games and tables for you to play at. Whether you’re interested in classic Texas Hold ‘Em, high limit games, or a more unusual game variant, you’ll find it all online. By contrast, land-based casinos typically have a more limited selection on offer.

Casino Bonuses – One of the best parts of signing up for a new casino is the big bonus you can collect. Nearly every online casino and poker site offers a welcome bonus to new players. There are also often loyalty schemes and other bonus rewards available for current players too. Bonuses help add to the excitement and give you a way to test out a site without risking your own money.

Availability – Online Poker is usually available to play 24/7. As long as there are other players online, you’ll be able to join a table and start playing. This is a significant advantage over land-based casinos that have opening times and may not always have a Poker table available.

Disadvantages of online poker: Live & Mobile.

Less social – The one big advantage that land-based casinos have over their online counterparts is the social aspect. Nothing beats going to the casino with a big group of friends and being able to chat and enjoy the experience with other people. Thankfully, lots of sites now offer chat options, and live casino Poker also adds a new way to be more social while playing Poker online.

Some sites only offer Video Poker – While you can usually find a good selection of Poker online, some of the best online casinos only offer Video Poker. If you’re looking specifically for sites that offer Poker, check our online casino reviews.

Live casino games provide players with a more authentic casino experience while playing online. Most online casino games use random number generator (RNG) to determine which cards players receive. The dealer is effectively a computer program, and while this is fair, it takes away some of the fun from the game.

With live Poker, rather than playing with a computer, the dealer will be an actual person. Live games use a live stream of a dealer in a studio who will deal with real cards to you. These games give players a chance to experience how a real casino works. Having a real dealer can make games a lot more exciting and unique.

The only downside is that most online casinos only offer live Poker where you play against the dealer. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing as playing against the dealer can still be a lot of fun. If you prefer to play against other players, try out the other version of Poker that the casino offers.

Online poker tournaments

Tournaments are one of the most exciting ways to play poker, and online sites usually offer loads of different tournaments. You’ll find high stakes tournaments plus plenty of options for beginners too when you visit the best online poker sites.

Tournaments let you compete against other players for big cash prizes. Most sites will have an entry fee, where you’ll be given a set amount of chips. You’ll need to beat all the players at your table or collect a certain number of chips to progress onto the next stage. As you get further in the tournament, you’ll have better chances of winning the top prizes.

You can find out all the details of the latest online Poker tournaments here at SlotsBang.com. Mobile poker

If you enjoy playing games while out and about, you’ll no doubt love playing mobile Poker. Most online casinos and poker sites are now accessible on mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets. If you want to play poker while on the go or traveling, you can easily load up your favorite site and join a table.

Providing you have a stable internet connection, mobile Poker lets you enjoy online Poker wherever you go. Most sites don’t even require you to download any software to your mobile device. Occasionally you might come across a site that offers a mobile app to download, but in most cases, it’s not required. Often the apps will give you a better experience, however. They allow you to load games faster, receive notifications, and even special bonuses.

BASIC RULES OF CLASSIC BLACKJACK

Basic rules of classic blackjack

0

If you’ve never played before, don’t worry, the rules of Blackjack are fairly simple and easy to learn. We’re going to cover all the basic rules of classic Blackjack, including winning conditions and how to play.

The objective

First off, you’ll need to remember that the objective of the game is to beat the dealer by having a higher value hand. Remember that you can’t go over twenty-one or you’ll bust, and the dealer will automatically win regardless of their hand.  Having a hand of Ace and a ten-card is known as a Blackjack. A Blackjack will give you an automatic win and usually 1.5x your stake. The only time you won’t win with a Blackjack is if the dealer also has one. In this case, you’ll have your stake returned to you.

Your hand

Your hand value is based on the values of each card. These values are signified on the card itself, with cards 2-10 worth between two and ten. Face cards such as Jacks, Queens, and Kings are all worth ten. An Ace is worth either one or eleven, depending on which makes a better hand. A Blackjack can only be formed with an Ace and a ten or face card.

The dealer

The dealer is your opponent and at the start of the game will deal you, and any other player at the table two cards. They’ll deal themselves one card, to begin with. In classic Blackjack, you’ll be able to see the dealer’s card, but some game types don’t show it until later. Once you’ve taken your turn, the dealer will always take new cards until they reach a total of seventeen or more.

Your actions

Once you’ve received your hand of two cards, you’ll have several different options available to you. You can choose to stand, that’s to end your turn without taking an action. You can choose to hit, that’s to ask the dealer for another card. You can choose to double down, that’s to ask for another card while doubling your stake. Finally, you can also split. Splitting can only be done if you receive two of the same card on your first turn. For example, if you received two eight or two sevens, you’d be able to split them. This gives you two hands, and you’ll receive two new cards, one for each hand. Some game types will also let you surrender after receiving your hand. If the dealer has an Ace as their face-up card, you can also take out an insurance bet.

These were some Basic rules of classic Blackjack, I guess these will come handy to you at the time gaming.

Happy winning.

Playing online poker for free, bonuses & bluffing?

Online Poker: One of the best ways to get better at a game is through practice. Normally, when playing casino games, you’ll have to gamble money, meaning that it’s hard to practice for a long time without risking a lot of money.

Luckily, for new players, there are ways around this. Lots of online casinos will offer free demo versions of the most popular games. While you won’t be able to play against other players for free, you might be able to play Poker against AI at some of the big sites.

Some Poker sites also offer free buy-ins to certain tournaments, particularly if you’re a new player. These can allow you to at least try out a Poker tournament for the first time and give you a better idea of how they work

Finally, some sites also offer bonuses that will allow you to try out games without risking your own cash. If you’re a new player, we recommend to always try out risk-free games as much as possible. You can gain a lot of experience even when playing a free version of the game and it will help you understand the rules and hands much better.

Even if you’re an experienced player, free games are a great way to try out different strategies and prepare yourself for the real thing.

Online poker bonuses

These days almost every Poker site and online casino offer some kind of bonus to new players. It’s one of the best parts of playing casino games online and part of the reason for the big surge in the popularity of online gambling.

Because there are so many new gambling sites out there all competing with each other, the sites offer players an incentive to sign up. Poker sites and casinos are nothing without players, so sites are always in competition with each other to bring new players in. That’s great for players because it means that most sites offer big bonuses to new players.

The most common type of bonus you’ll find offered is the matched deposit bonus. An example of this would be a site offering a 100% bonus of up to $500 on your first deposit. That means that if you sign up for the site and deposit $500, you’ll receive $500 in bonus cash.

You won’t be able to withdraw this bonus amount. It will need to be gambled a set number of times first. This is known as a wagering requirement. Most sites will request that you wager the bonus cash between ten and thirty times before you can withdraw it and any winnings.

Some sites also offer no deposit bonuses. These are some of the best bonuses around, and while they’re smaller than matched deposit bonuses, they’re much easier to get. All you need to do is sign up, and the free bonus will be added to your new account. This way, you can try out the online Poker without having to make a deposit first.

What is bluffing?

In Poker, the object of the game is to form the best hand that beats the other player at the table. However, just because you don’t have the best hand, it doesn’t mean that you’re going to lose. Players place bets depending on how good their hand is, and if they think someone else has better than them, they’ll fold rather than wasting money on calling the bet. Deceiving the other players at the table to convince them to your hand is better than theirs is known as bluffing.

Bluffing is what sets Poker apart from a lot of other games out there and is one of the reasons why it’s so popular. It allows players to get ahead and make wins, even if they had bad luck. It’s all about using the bets to your advantage and making your weak hand look stronger than it is. In the world of online poker, bluffing is often less effective than in real life, but it can still be a useful strategy.

If you’re planning to implement bluffing into your game, here are a few tips:

  • Don’t bluff too often – Your image at the Poker table that the other players have of you is based on your bets. If you’re betting big all the time and rarely showing good hands in showdowns, players will know that you’re bluffing. If you bet more conservatively but raise high occasionally, your bluffs will be harder to read. You should be careful not to bluff too much because if a player calls your bluff you can lose your bet plus players will suspect you of bluffing in future hands.
  • Semi-bluffs are more effective than pure bluffs – A Pure bluff is a bluff that has more or less no chance of success unless your opponent folds. Ideally, you should be semi-bluffing. That is, having a good hand but making it look like you have a great hand. You’ll be more likely to win this way. Plus, if a player calls your bluff, they won’t necessarily realize you were bluffing.
  • If you’re a beginner, concentrate on the basics before getting into bluffing – Before getting into complicated strategies like bluffing, make sure you understand the basics of the game. It’s always tempting to start rushing ahead when you first start. Improving your general skills and knowledge of Poker is a lot more important, however. Make sure that you have gotten a decent amount of practice before you start bluffing.
